Our Story

One of us grew up in Costa Rica. The other arrived as a visitor and never quite left — not in spirit, anyway.

YODO was born from that shared love: for the country's coffee, its landscape, and the unhurried rituals that form around both. The name is Costa Rican slang for coffee, a nod to its deep, rich color and the culture that shaped it.

We source exclusively from Costa Rica's most celebrated growing regions — Tarrazú, the West Valley, the Central Valley — where high altitude and volcanic soil produce coffees that are clean, vibrant, and full of character. Every batch is ethically sourced and artfully roasted, because the people and the land behind it deserve nothing less.

We started this brand because we wanted to share something real — not just great coffee, but the feeling around it. Warmth, slowness, connection. The kind of thing worth waking up for.
